MedBen Employees Celebrate Silver Anniversaries

Recently, we recognized Anita Fouch, Director of Accounting Operations, on her 30th anniversary with MedBen. But she's not the only employee celebrating a noteworthy event, as three of our team members are marking their 25th year with us in 2018... and they certainly merit special recognition! MedBen is proud of our long-time association with each one of them, and their contributions to our growth and continued success cannot be overstated.

Arleen George actually began her MedBen career 26 years ago as a "temp" in the Claims Department... but on April 1, 1993 (yes, April Fool's Day!), she was offered a full-time position as a Submission Control Clerk. Today, as a Provider Technical Support Specialist, she works to ensure seamless service for our physician and hospital networks.

Asked for thoughts on her time with MedBen, Arleen replied that she likes the “family” atmosphere the company offers. "I have enjoyed my years with MedBen making many life-long friends," she said.

Arleen also noted how MedBen has succeeded through innovative new ideas and processes. "We're always looking for better ways to serve our clients. It is my wish that we will continue to grow and be blessed in the future," she said.

From his very first day as Public Affairs Assistant, Chuck Jindra has played a pivotal role in helping to guide MedBen's marketing direction. And now as Senior Marketing Specialist, the company's promotional efforts reflect much of his personal vision.

"MedBen has given me the freedom to put my own stamp on our marketing materials," Jindra said. "I've also been fortunate to work with some really smart people, and I've learned a lot along the way."

Chuck started at MedBen just as the Internet was taking off… and its growth redefined his responsibilities. “Nowadays, a strong social media presence is just as important as a brochure in how we present ourselves, and being part of our online growth has been very rewarding,” he said.

Throughout her 25 years with MedBen, Bobbie Painter has assisted clients in a variety of roles. Starting as an Operations Coordinator (now known as a Group Service Representative) and later Customer Service Manager, she eventually served as a Director in three areas: Administration, VisionPlus, and since 2000, Claims.

Reflecting on her MedBen experiences, Painter said she respects how the company focuses on the client first. "I appreciate MedBen’s integrity and honesty -- and not only with clients, but also with its employees," she said.

Bobbie added that MedBen's close ties to its home community of Newark, OH appeals to her: "I like working for a local company where I can make a difference."
