Just a quick reminder that the MedBen Access online customer service center will be unavailable this weekend, beginning at Noon on July 23. The website will be available to answer your claims and benefits questions again no later than 7 a.m. on Monday, July 25.
During the down time, members of the MedBen Information Systems team will be busy prepping a powerful new mainframe computer system, called, appropriately enough, Power7. Our two new computers – one at our home office, the other a backup housed at our disaster recovery site – offer twice the processing power as our current system, which will allow for faster claims processing and information transmission. And as we are initially using just a small portion of the computers’ overall capacity, we have the ability to add new software and make updates and improvements to our existing programs.
MedBen is excited about adding this new system, and its potential to grow with us. It’s just another way that we’re working continually to provide better quality service to our clients.
